Position: Finance Manager (.8 FTE Monday – Thursday 9 – 5) 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate/Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Payroll Certification and/or experience
  • Five years experience in accounting and /or bookkeeping roles
  • Adheres and knowledgeable in GAAP , CRA and financial legislation
  • Professional attitude with leadership skills and the ability to sup port multiple staff
  • Ability to multi task and manage competing deadlines
  • Familiarity with the unique environments and challenges of a not for profit organization
  • Proficiency in Accounting/Payroll software and the ability to learn new programs

North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, Fort St. John, BC

Position: Executive Director (PT) 

The North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, established in 1999, is an outreach of the Christian community, sharing the love of Christ by providing support, education, awareness, and practical care for women, men, and families affected by unplanned pregnancy in Fort St. John and surrounding area. The Executive Director will be accountable to the Board of Directors, and will take care of the day to day operations of the Centre. The ED will need a passion for the ministry, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lead and connect with people.

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and take part in the daily operations of the Centre, including client peer counseling and administrative duties, in a way that sets a positive spiritual atmosphere for the Centre, reflects biblical principles and Centre policies.
  • To hire, train and disciple the staff and volunteers.
  • To help in developing a vision for the ministry that reflects the Centre’s mission and to help in implementing those plans.
  • To raise funds, cultivate donor relationships and enhance the community profile of the Centre, including maintaining good relations with other community organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the CAPSS core documents, and the mission statement, bylaws, and policies of the Centre.
  • A passion for helping people who find themselves in unplanned pregnancy.
  • Be able to connect with people from all walks of life and work well with other organizations.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Experience as a volunteer in some ministry capacity.
