Pregnancy Care Canada Staff
Dr. Laura Lewis
Dr. Lewis has served as the Executive Director since May 2016. After working for 22 years as a family physician, she saw the need for education, support, and practical options for women and men facing an unexpected pregnancy. Dr. Lewis has a Hon. B. Comm degree from Queen’s University, a Medical Degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a certificate of Family Medicine from McMaster University.
Administrator and Event Planner
Susan joined the PCC team in August 2013, bringing with her over 15 years of experience providing administration and bookkeeping for a national non-profit organization. She holds a certificate in professional bookkeeping and is a skilled conference and event coordinator.
Resource Development and Communications Liaison
Rebecca is a gifted communicator, educator, and writer. Her background includes working for the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre for seven years, where she filled a variety of roles as a facilitator, administrator, and communications coordinator. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria.
Centre Development and Leadership Support
Donna served as Executive Director of Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre for six years after working as a maternity nurse for over 20 years in postpartum, labour and delivery, and prenatal education. She has a Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership through CREST Leadership Centre.
Board of Directors
Doug founded Bluewater Baptist, in Sarnia, and served as lead pastor for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the Dallas Seminary and continues to provide leadership on numerous national boards. His wife, Detra, served as Executive Director of the pregnancy care centre in Sarnia for many years, acquainting him with the importance of this work.
Terry has a strong belief in the sanctity of life and family. This passion, coupled with an extensive business and management background in the technology industry, enhances the operational and financial strength of Pregnancy Care Canada.
Yohaan works in management consulting and brings strong business acumen to Pregnancy Care Canada. As a father and husband, he has a passion for the important role of the family in Canada and an urgency to assist those who are contemplating tough decisions.
Heather serves as Executive Director of the Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre. She has helped in the establishment of two satellite centres – the Anchor of Hope in Madoc, ON, and the Pregnancy & Family Care of Quinte West in Trenton, ON.
Brian is a Pregnancy Care Canada co-founder and served as Executive Director of the Christian Advocacy Society (CAS) of Greater Vancouver. The CAS charity governs two pregnancy care centres, a residential shelter for abused women, a sexual assault recovery consortium, and OnlineCare Canada.
Michele brings over twenty years of experience as a registered nurse and volunteer leader. As an RN, she specialized in newborn health, concentrating on intensive care of prematurely born infants and their families. She also has a Leadership Degree and has experience working within the health care system of four provinces from coast to coast in Canada.
Pregnancy Care Canada is absolutely paramount in equipping and mentoring pregnancy care centres nationwide. What a unique ministry of care and grace! Helping one person at a time. Saving one life at a time.
